Hi there !

For everybody who is considering to visit or to even move to Qatar or

you just want to know how Qatar is, this article is just for you :)

Even me I had questions before coming here.

- Do I have to cover my hair or even wear an abaya ?

- Can I still wear short skirts and shorts or do I need to be covered ?

- Can I walk alone in the street ?

- Can I drive a car ?
- Are people riding camels ?

All these questions were passing by my head and I was not sure

what kind of country it's going to be :)

But then I came and I found out that:

- I don't have to cover my hair or wear an abaya. And I can even dye my hair purple or green or make a unicorn color and no-one will tell me anything.

- I can still wear short skirts and shorts and no need to be covered.

- I can walk alone in the street. Even with my handbag wide open. Qatar is actually a very safe country, especially for a woman.

- I can definitely drive a car. I just need a qatari driving licence.
- People are not riding camels, but luxurious cars - Porsche, Bugatti, Ferrari & Lamborghini can be seen quite often

I was also wondering, where will I go for shopping. And where to go for a coffee. Or to grab a bite.

But there was no need to worry, Qatar got me covered.

In fact Qatar is THE country if you want to go for a "little" shopping.

(Haha, we all know that there is no such a thing as a little shopping.)

Qatar is the country of shopping malls.

And you will find all the shops that you may need:

Victoria's Secret / Etam / Ardene / Zara / Bershka / New Yorker / Aldo / Pandora / Oysho / H&M / Lush / Sephora / Kiko Milano / La Senza / Mac / Mango / Bath&Body Works / L'Occitane / Valentino / Jimmy Choo / Ellie Saab / Burberry / Bulgari / Calvin Klein / Moschino / Parfois / Stradivarius

Or if ur tired of shopping, go and have a coffee... anywhere you want, the choice is yours:

Starbucks / Costa Coffee / Magnolia Bakery / The Coffee Beans / Tim Hortons / Paul

I think you got it now, the list is pretty long :)

Besides shopping you can enjoy one of the luxurious hotels in Doha:

Hilton / Mariott / St. Regis / Sheraton / Shangri-la / Westin

Go visit Souk Waqif for some traditional vibes, you will find there chichas and arabic coffee cups - things that you should not miss. Or go to Islamic Museum for some history lessons.

For the fancy and luxurious touch take a taxi to Pearl - try one of its signature restaurants or just sit by the water and enjoy the sun.

And if you are bored from the city - go to the desert. You will find lot of safari camps.

There is so many things to do in Qatar !

Tenhle článek je ideální pro všechny ty, kteří se přemýšlejí o tom podívat se do Kataru nebo se sem snad stěhují. Anebo prostě chcete vědět, co se dá v Kataru dělat ?

Já jsem hlavě měla tolik otázek, než jsem sem přijela.

- Budu si muset zakrývat vlasy nebo snad nosit abáju ?

- Můžu nosit sukně a šortky nebo se budu muset zakrýt ?

- Můžu chodit sama po ulici ?

- Můžu řídit auto ?
- Jezdí tam lidi na velbloudech ?

Ano, i podobný otázky mě napadaly :D A pak jsem přijela a zjistila jsem, že

- Nemusím si zakrývat vlasy nebo nosit abáju. Vlastně se můžu obarvit na fialovo nebo na zeleno nebo si udělat unicorn barvu a nikdo mi nic neřekne.

- Můžu se promanádovat v sukních a šortkách, není třeba být zahalená.

- Můžu klidně chodit sama na ulici. I s otevřenou kabelkou. Katar je vlastně velmi bezpečná země, zvlášt' pro ženy.

- A rozhodně můžu v klidu řídit auto. Jen musím mít místní řidičák.
- Lidi nejezdí na velbloudech - Porsche, Bugatti, Ferrari & Lamborghini jsou tu na denním pořádku.

Jo, taky jsem přemýšlela o tom, kam budu chodit nakupovat. Nebo kam na kafe. A co když budu chtít do restaurace.

Ale jelikož je Katar zemí nákupních center, tak jsem si dělala starosti uplně zbytečně :D A každej měsíc mám co dělat, abych neutratila celou výplatu :D

Katar je tou ideální zemí, pokud chcete jít na malej shopping. (Haha, všichni víme, že malej shopping neexistuje :D)

Najdete tu každej obchod, co hledáte:

A až budete unavený a jediná věc, co chcete je někam si sednout a dát si kafe, můžete si vybrat:

Starbucks / Costa Coffee / Magnolia Bakery / The Coffee Beans / Tim Hortons / Paul

Myslím, že už i vám je jasný, že těch možností je hodně :)

Samozřejmě, kromě shoppingu si můžete užít luxusních hotelů, které Doha nabízí:

Hilton / Mariott / St. Regis / Sheraton / Shangri-la / Westin

Můžete si zajít na tradiční Souk Waqif, koupit si vodní dýmku nebo malé kávové šálky na arabskou kávu - věci, který určitě musíte mít.

Nebo se mrknětě do Islamic museum pro trochu historie.

Nebo si skočte do luxusní části města - The Pearl - zkusit jednu v vyhlášených restaurací nebo si jen tak sednout na lavičku a užívat si sluníčka.

A až vás velkoměsto omrzí, zajed'te si na poušt' - do kempu na safari.

V Kataru se dá dělat spousta věcí.

Tak co ? Myslíte, že byste někdy přijeli ?

Hi there !

I was thinking about a fashion blogpost looong time. I mean what kind of blogger does not do an outfit post, right ?

But the question was always the same – the location & the photographer.

One cool thing (among the others) is that the architecture in Qatar is amazing. Seriously, one super fancy building after another and each everyone of them super instagrammable.

Thats how I found Al Hazm Mall (link here)– new luxurious mall with breathtaking interiors and glass-made pyramide like in Louvre. I did not hesitate one second, that place just calls for photos.

And so, on a very, very sunny Qatari day (seriously it was around 40 °C, me and Janel
from Janellyysh (her blog here and instagram here) we decided to go there and have
some blogger fun :))

But when we actually got there, we found out that the mall opens at 5 pm. Luckily the driver was still waiting and spontaneous plans are the best ones so we headed to The Pearl (link here).

And I think that it turned pretty well, right ?

Focení outfitu jsem chtěla dělat už dlouuuuho. Protože, správná blogerka přece musí mít ouftit články, že jo :D

Jenže jsem měla vždycky dva problémy – kde & kdo mě bude fotit.

Ale tohle se změnilo v Kataru, architektura a budovy jsou tady skvostný. Vážně, jedna super instagrammable budova za druhou :D

A takhle jsem našla nový obchodní centrum – Al Hazm Mall (link je tady) – uplně novej luxusní mall s dechberoucím designem a skleněnou pyramidkou jako v Louvru. To místo si uplně žádá o fotky.

Takže jsem se jednoho velmi, velmi slunného Kataského dne (vážně bylo okolo 40 °C) vydala s Janel z blogu Janelyysh (blog je tady a instagram je tady) vydala udělat si bloggerday.

Jenže, když jsme se tam konečně dostaly, zjistily jsme, že mall otevírá až v 5 hodin odpoledne. Naštěstí na nás řidič ještě čekal a protože ty spontání plány jsou ty nej vydaly jsme se do The Pearl (link tady).

A nakonec to nebylo tak špatný, co myslíte ?
